injection on time = length of injector cycle.



Really there is no correlation. Don't think about it too hard. We advance the timing. It is very obvious when the timing is advanced.



The wording was not meant to be decieving, I think the general pblic understands what we are saying.

no problem man. my position has always been to evaluate the fueling boxes by the engine connections and signals that they directly manipulate (see TDR issue 45 technical topics). its clear to me that quads box represents the next gen technology in moderate power enhancements and the ability to deliver timing advance without connecting to cam and crank. I'm updating my matrix...

BD's connects to the injector harness

And Van aakens connects to the ECM



I guess it could still be though

yea the VA box is not even close to the BD. VA has been around for a long time and the BD is a new one. VA It intercepts injector controlling signals at the ECM. plugs directly into the ECM connector on the engine block. BD is a separate box, plugs into the injector control harness and MAP sensor.



VAs claim to 130HP requires some creativity. in my tests I was able to find "best gain" at the flywheel within 15% of that claim. The box makes all of its gains in the 2300 RPM region with high torque rise -- hence the best gain. total peak horsepower gain (high RPM) is actually quite low on the VA, in the 50 horsepower region.



I havent actually tested the BD box, but yea the quad would be an interesting stack with it.
