I'm "box shopping' for the new truck and the Quadzilla looks pretty good. Since they seem to be a fairly new company (weren't around when I quit using the forium 3 years ago) I was wondering what opinions or experiences you'all may have had with them good or bad. Thanks in advance J. Johnson

All of my experiences with them have been great. I was a beat tester for the Xlliraider and they were first class in all my dealings. Not to mention the box works perfectly as advertised.

That's good to hear. I like the new monitor they're about to release which can work without their box. If it's reasonable in price I may get it first then the box.

You'll get a discount if you buy the box and monitor together.

I love the Quad box. It works as advertised. Good power, no codes. The only problems have been with people not installing it right, or just the occasional (rare) wiring harness problem.

I did something to my switch after removing the box for a dealer visit (I could only get 60 mode), and Quad sent me a new one at new charge! Great customer service!

J. I suppose I could tell of my experiences with the Quad race box.

Overall I'm happy with it. Mileage is up as long as I stay out of the throttle. It builds slowly and from about 2000rpm hits like boot in the backside, but up to that point models stock. Install is a breeze and can now be done in a manner of minutes.

Temps can get lofty on the highest setting and the performance gain isn't that great (100hp vs 130hp) so I very rarely see L3. But the 100 seems to be the most enjoyable. The 60 is great for towing and long gear pulls when temps can become an issue. And you can always shut it off as needed.

I've thrown a couple of codes with it, usually resulting from long cruise controls stints or turning the box off after having it on for awhile.

I lost an injector recently, and I don't think it is related to the box, but with the electronics, who knows. I also have over 170k miles on the truck. So we'll see how a bigger turbo, stage 2 injectors and the box all work together.

I just returned my quadbox,it gave me problems from day two. all seemed fine at first but when I ran a few miles in the 100hp setting and came to a stop truck would idle up and down like it was looking to find where it should be idling. turned box off still did it,restarted truck it was fine. few days later it did it again. checked all conections.

took box out for a week or so tried it again, was even worse this time started fine at first ran a few miles same thing again. so I am boxless for now and that sucks.

When you removed the box did you install the bypass plug or remove the entire wire harness? My EZ caused the same problems until I found out the rail pressure sensor plug was not seated all the way. In fact I could not get it to seat fully until I removed the weather seal. I ran itlike that to diagnose the problem. My Quad box has never done it but I knew to pay extra attention to the rail pressure plug from before.

Guys I got my race box about a week ago and have been very pleased with it. I do agree that there doesn't seen to much difference between level 2 and 3 although with a untouched automatic I'm not really pushing the issue on level three yet. Poweris great and I'm satisfied :) .

I was happy with the power I got also, then the problems started. I am not bashing them I hope they can fix mine or send me another.

I do feel a little better that I was not the only one with same problem so I know it was not something I did.

I have there XZT and it works as advertised. Took 20 min to installas I had to drill a hole in the clutch rod cover. No adjustments so no decisions. Milage is up around town and after a 3000 mile trip with the 13000+ 5vr am extremley happy

According to some on this site with a low pressure fuel gauge, you can pull the pressure down to zero on the 60 setting.

I can feel the truck wanting more fuel on the higher settings. I'm sure there would be a noticeable difference between the 100 and 140 setting if I had a better lift pump.

Have had the standard box for a few months now.

0 problems.

I do agree, I'd like a little more on the bottom end. Anything in the works Quad?

A little more off the bottom would be great except thats what kills unmodified automatic transmissions. I think I'm good for now until I can get that little detail taken care of.

make sure you put the plugs in the right way i plugged the blue one in backwards and threw some codes i had an ez on my 01 i think i liked that one better but its really to soon to tell

Love that Xzillaraider!

I was one of the Beta testers and I took off and EZ to test the Quad box. I am really glad I did. Both the beta version and production version have worked without a hitch since I installed them. More power, better mileage and what more could a fella look for. I recommend the box to every CTD owner I run across. I love it!!

Bye the way, my wife does too. She said she didn't know a diesel could ever have the kind of power and performance our truck has. She loves to drive it!! What better testimonial could you ask for??

Oo. Oo.

I Have had nothing but problems with my Quad Race box, I spoke with Jeramy, who not only bother to return my calls but acted like I never spoke to him before. Getting codes 192 (low fuel pressure ) and 237(low boost pressure) I think they related to my BD Exhaust Brake its an 04 with a 6 speed. Hey Quad you have an answer. Jeramy said he would talk to you and never returned my call and after 3 days I called him back he acted like he never talked to me but suggested that try the trioid and that did not work. BTW my serial number is 21122.
