Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Quest for fuel economy

I just went and bought a new one at the dealer and replaced mine, I think it cost $25. Some guys have had good luck cleaning the old one but I tried that and it didn't help much so now I just buy a new one every 18 months or so. Look here IAT info. If you do a search on it you will find alot of information on here, most of the really technical information is probably from 2 years ago or so. You didn't say how much idling is done, Driving in 4 wheel drive or snow plowing you do. But with mine 17-19 mpg. I was told it would get better after 40'000 and it did, it was down around 12-15 mpg. after 50,000 and minor bombs at 2100 rpm and about 75mph she's a HUMMUN about right . Oh yeah 4x4 auto all this is also M-T. More BOMBs to come in do time. Thanks DH
