Just had my first oil sample done (by Blackstone) and they reported the following:
"Ring wear was a little high in this first sample from your Cummins. This along with the high soot and viscosity both show a possible combustion problem developing. "
I have 164,019 miles on the truck and had 3,700 miles on this oil.
I am running (dino) Rotella T - 15w40
All of my Sample Data was normal or better than normal except:
Chromium= 5 and SUS Viscosity @ 210 deg. = 79. 3
Is this truly something I need to be concerned about? What actions (if any) should I take at this point and time.
Thanks
