Does anyone know if you install an aftermarket radio that's Sirius satellite ready if you can use the factory Sirius antenna and connections to the radio??

well I have to wonder if there is a diffrence between the stock one and the ones that come from sirius. My jeep very rarely loses signal but my truck does quite often . And if there is a difrence then it might be a good idea to change it.

it is the connector on the end of the cable that is different we cut the stock one off and replaced with a standard . if i can find it there is a company that specializes in making cables and they make one for this purpose , the frequency is so high that you should not do what i did it is hard to keep proper dimensions on the fittings , you can buy a antenna that has the proper fitting and take it to a communications shop and have them cut the fitting off the stock and a short piece off of the new one and do a splice .

Thanks guys. CKelley I would be interested to find out more about where to buy that connector to get it spliced into the factory sirius antenna cable. I'm sure it can be done because a guy I used to know had an aftermarket radio and used the factory Sirius antenna.
