this weekend, i will be putting on an aftermarket exhaust. I need to try and keep the entire exhaust in reusable shape, especially the downpipe at the turbo, in case the hanger to the truck frame breaks as i have heard is common. as i have looked around underneath, i see there are 2 aluminum band type clamps right behind the turbo. i would assume that the one that is farthest from the turbo (closest to the rear of the truck) is the one that needs to be loosened for removal? how much of a nightmare is this to remove? i hope it isn't like when i took off the muffler! should i spray some lubricant on it a few days prior, to give the metal some time to work its self loose? and lastly, what tools will be best for removing that clamp?
any other tips would be appreciated!! thanks!
