I am planning to put a new exhaust on the truck in the next few weeks. From what I have gathered here with the setup I am running for box and injectors a 4" is the best solution for me. I am hoping someone could kind of reassure me on that part and then to help me on another point. I have a Pac Brake that replaces the factory elbow after the turbo. I love the brake and have had almost no problems with it so I don't want to change it if I don't have to. But does having that reduce the benefits of going to a larger exhaust or does it really not make a difference. Right now I am running the factory without a muffler. EGT's are ok except when towing then I have to watch it a little more closely but it is still ok, usually only have to back off on the really steep grades or just turn the box off. Last of all, I enjoy the sound I have right now with the straight pipe but the wife would like it slightly quieter (to me it sounds the same as it did with the muffler on, but I did angle the exit more towards the rear with a different tip). So what kind of system keeps the deep throaty growl without making it too loud in the cab? From looking around I am tempted to get ahold of Jannety and see about their 4 inch kit, or to just go to an exhaust shop here in town and see what they offer.
