Hey guys I need some help here! My number 6 piston threw a bearing or rolled it! I am not to sure yet for I have not gotten the engine out of the truck to check it yet! Either way I will need to put a new piston in the 6 cylinder! Where should I get it and where should I get the rod bearings from? Should I just replace the one piston or should I replace all 6. I do not have alot of money and I am on a tight budget so anything could help! Thanks Guys!#@$%!

Hello :-D

You probably damidged your piston and your cylynder liner. So the knocking you hear is piston schirt that has schrimped and knocking against cylynderliner.

You need 1 new piston, maybe pistonrings at #5 ,but you probably need to brotc/mill your #6 cylynder and install a "dry-cylynder liner".....

I wouldn't start preparing a parts list until the cylinder head and possibly oil pan are removed.

The most common problem is a melted #6 piston not rod or main bearings. You may discover you'll need to sleeve #6 cylinder but it's too early to know yet.
