We will see everyone in Houston on oct 26!

I will have my custom HVAC pom poms that weekend, who wants to join us?

Nowel,

A little birdy told me at the dyno day that your going to show up, is it true?

Doug,

In another thread you said if Nowel comes, you will too, still holding up on that?

Christan,

Putting a roll cage in? Hop on a trailer with Jim Fuller, and come on down.

Jim,

See above. ;)

Bill K,

Let Stefan drop you off in Kerrville, and let him come on down. :D

Diesel Dynamics Crew,

$2000 should pay for your gas and hotels. :D

Southern Truck Parts,

That little Dakota should have it made don't ya think?

Eric McBride,

You have been to quiet latly, come show us what you have been working on.

KatDiesel,

It's NEVER too soon to come back to Texas!!!

Bottem line here guys is exposure. There really will be THOUSANDS of people here for this I think(don't hold me to that completly), and it will really start opening the door for people around here who have no idea about this kinda stuff. The number of diesel trucks around these parts is staggering compaired to what I saw driving to Munice, and it could REALLY help ALL of us in the end.

What do ya think guys?!?!?!

Your Killing me

Man, I'm drooling on my keyboard. I would be there in a heartbeat, not that I'm that fast, but I would bring the beverages:D I wish you all the best and hopefully someday I will be off this rock and be able to enjoy these things. This is one of those things in life you just have to do. It's part of being a man and standing up for what you know is right. Plus the looks on peoples faces is a great mastercard comercial#ad
Anyways, good luck!#ad

This is the same weeknd as the TDR Texas rally in Kerrville. If this race is going to have the Top Dogs of Diesel, then I think I would rather go to the race track than the TDR rally. Anyone else in Texas care to comment?

Did ya read the top line in my first post? It is very unfair that this is how it has to be, but what can ya do. :( I never posted on the Kerrville thread because I know about this. Kinda sad really.

Anyways... .

LoneRam,

There is an Airport in town!!! :D :p

No problem Andrew. This was never meant to be some sort of competition. I planned the rally after I was told the racing event was a no go.

Either way, the racing event is only one day and the rally will be 3 days. Only the seminars are on Saturday. You guys that want to come out and visit are welcome to.

I've also talked to the track in San Antonio about thier test nad tune night. They've welcomed us to come out and participate. It's about an hour from the camp site.

Copied from the e-mail they sent me:

Friday, October 25 is our Street Heat night with gates opening at 6, and runs from 6:30 until 11 PM. Tech cards are $15. The Big Dog Shootout scheduled for the night won't start until 9 PM. You'll have plenty of time to get in some great runs and still get to enjoy the Big Dog Shootout (or run in it also)!

This would also give the guys that are racing in Houston the next day a chance to come out and tune the trucks to our kind of weather.

It's gonna be a good weekend either way you go.

Don't see this event on the Houston Raceway calender??? For 10-26-02 they show "Test & Tune" night. Maybe that's what the PSD & D-Max guys call racin'?

;)

Dang, I didn't realize they have a 14 and 15 second index, I'm right on the line there. I may have to re evaluate my attendance plans.

dan

Oh man! I sure wish I could get down there for that! I want a re-match with Fuller! Just kidding! I think I'll stick with my "peers"... We're gonna race at DTT's home track in Mission this Friday.

Sure would like to get the chance to flog a Ford... off the street, that is... :D

TxDieselKid-

If I could somehow bring my truck and sell a kidney or two for airfair, I'd be there tomorrow. There is NOTHING of this stuff going on out here. No one to play with:{

Who's Gonna Win?

Not being terribly familiar with the goings on under the hood of the PSD, I sought out a highly trained Ford technician to pose my inqueries to.

I asked the jouneyman Ford wrench if there was any way that David Lott could create enough horsepower in his PSD to threaten the dominate species, that being the Cummins powered Ram? Here you can see his reply-

#ad

Well that seemed pretty conclusive, however I probed deeper. "Mr. Ford technician, David Lott has a license plate that says 1000HP. Is there any shred of accuracy to this bold claim"?

#ad

OK, knowing we arern't dealing with a 1000 horsepower(relief), "Mr. Ford technician, is there any way on God's green earth that David Lott can beat us to the finish line in a 1/4 mile competition short of small arms fire and national guard interference"?

His answer-

#ad

There you have it, once again good triumphs over evil and everything is right in the world;)

LMFAO!!!

Nowel,

That has to be one of the funnest things I have ever seen on the TDR. You win "FUNNY POST OF THE YEAR!!!" award.

After talking to David last week, he says "I know it will run 12's"(talking about the little red DORF rocket). He said that the goal of the 1000hp plate was that power he wanted at the crank. If that is the case, he is half way there. He also told me about a powerstroke that ran on Meth!!

Dusting of the OLD "HVAC is my hero" shirt,

Because there are annoying sorts like me who insist on *seeing* the Cummins beat the Nav?

OK well with under a week left to decide, who is going to Houston this weekend? Someone started a thread almost a year ago about this event.

I'm Going

CMonroe, I'm going if I can get everything working

on the "Rocket". I'll be in a faster bracket then you of course. I hope we can impress the Ford boys.
