Competition Wheels for racing

Off Roading Little project you might like:)

I just wanted to get a few opinions from you all.

I have a local guy that wants to race me. He said he'd race me for $1000, or $5000 or anything I wanted. He went on to say that he wouldn't even bother looking under my hood.

He has a 2wd 24 valve w/ street tires. He said his truck is the fastest truck in Texas. :)

What would YOU do?

-Chris

Let that Red Dog eat... ..... I can just see the look on his face, tell him that you'll race but your not putting up $1000. 00 to beat him.

Jim

Be cautious, you could blow a boot and look like a fool.

BUT... . If you lose a grand to him and DON'T tell him you break, you can set him up for next time:eek:

And if you sure you have enough, just beat him by a fender, don't want to discourge him. ;)

Beware! I've heard this guy has a powerglide transmission and a 14bolt rear transplated into his 24valver. When he launches at 2500 banging on the brake, and at 60pd o boost, stand clear. His hoosier ET streets are going to wrinkle like an eighty year old set of breasts... . He might even pull a wheelie... . :D :D :D

Does he know what you have? Does he have twins? I doubt he has twins, most people tell me when I mention twins "you can't do that. " I would probably do it for $500.

He is either stupid, or has a lot of confidence in his 24V. Maybe he bought DD's test truck when they sell them? What the hell, race him. It's Dodge vs. Dodge anyway. You may just surprise him with your old 12V. :)

Could it be Jeff Prince from the Enterprise Engine web page? He is from TX. Solid 12 Sec truck.

EDIT: Nevermid. Jeffs is a 12V.

be carefull, i used to street race my 30 ford coupe for about four years. I had a buddy of my get blown away over $100. Guy shot him right in back of the head. I still race every now and then, but never for money, usually for a good itailian dinner or something harmless like that. i get more funny just rubbing their nose in my smoke, lol. good luck!

What's this guys name?

Tell him to be at The Clash of the Titans next weekend.

Did you take out that stock plate yet? ;)

I see you got rid of the 89% convertor. :D

Andrew,

I only got rid of the 89% converter because my new twins pulled so hard off the line. With the H2E, I couldn't run a tight converter.

I know you were joking about the plate, but a little over a month ago, I ran 13's with a stock plate, a mild launch (1. 9 60ft. ) and no drugs. So I might be able to leave a stock plate in there and still take him.

Wouldn't that burn him up! :)

I'm going to try to get him to come to the Clash of the Titans race. The way he talks, he'll be the one leaving with $2000.

We may all know and respect him afterwards. Time will tell.

One bit of advise is... . don't do it on the street!

I put my face through the windshield of a 1991 GMC Syclone in downtown Boston... . as a passenger! The roads were wet and we tried to beat the guy on the fat end instead of getting the Holeshot on 'em... . We ran over some shrubs and crashed into this nice substantial granite/cement enbankment... . not fun.

Is that what happened to you :D

Chris. Why are you posting about the money I offered you to race,,, You know I can beat you,, especially in the 60 ft'er. I didn't think you'd bring this out on TDR, but you asked for it,,, You're on.

This weekend, Clash of The Titans,, I'll whoop your tiny little over turbo'd, under-valved truck like a D-Max owner bragging about his 20MPG.

lol,, Just jokin' guys.

I'd do it, but not for $1,000,, have him there at the C. o. t. T. Races. He needs a little "TDR Re-Thinking"

IMO. Anyone that came to me saying " i'll run for $1,000 , $5,000 whatever " , is all talk , I would'nt waste my time.

The Syclone is AWD... . but we shouldn't have let that little 'advantage' over the RWD German car get to our heads... .

We wouldn't have crashed if we would have launched at the start instead of giving him the head start and catching him on the fat end.
