I went to drain my radiator tonight in my 04.5 cummins 5.9 and twisted the plastic drain valve to the left by hand. It moved hard so i twisted to the right then back to the left, it felt like it turned it started leaking around the valve handle not the drain hole. I wiggled the drain handle and it came out of the radiator an inch and antifreeze came out of of where it was nothing came out of the drain. The good news it is drained and it happened rapidly, it was contained in the bucket, I have to go to church for what i said when it happened. Now the question: Is there an easy fix? Can I JB weld it back in and deal with it when I have to drain the radiator again? What type of JB or insert name of adhesive here? Any other ideas would be welcome. thank you for any help Craig

You are not alone . Those valves are bad news . Try doing a search with key words so you can find a fix.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it's no big deal for the drain cock to come out of the radiator. It is designed to turn counter clockwise @ 1/4 turn, then pull out as you continue turning counter clockwise. If you turn it further, it will pull out. That's the way it's made. Get you a new one and you'll see how it's designed. Dorman #61134. Here's a pic:
