Dealer has an 04 with "close" to the equipment I want. BUT the truck has a radio Cassette upgrade for $660. Seem like it makes the truck a lot more $$ for no return in value? What do you guys think. Also has the Aluminum wheels. Another $300 and most don't seem to like them? thanks, Doc:confused:

See if they'll swap in a downgraded radio. It's an easy swap and they can do it in a few minutes. If not, negotiate.

cassettes what r they? mine had a 6 disk in dash unit dont know if i would pay extra for a cassette upgrade. I like the aluminum wheels just hate the caps.

Check if the Upgrade includes the Infinity Speakers (it Probably does) you will notice a big improvement in sound which I found worth the extra coin.

Gonzo is right. The extra $'s are probably for the infinity sound system, which includes a big amp and 11 speakers (in 7 locations). I have the single CD/Cassette with the Infinity option code on the sheet was RAZ. Sounds great. I can appreciate if you don't want to spend the extra cash, but don't delete it thinking you can just go to the nearest store and get a CD deck and you've got the same thing. Hope this helps.

Concur that the upgrade was worth it. Maybe someone has the 6 CD that they want a tape player for w/single CD. If you no like the tape/CD combo. For 03 ifn I recall we only had the tape as std, then the tape/CD, then the 6 CD. The "cheapest" way to get the CD was the RAZ @ 770$. Like the extra spkrs!

stock sound system is barely adequate.

The factory stock regular and "enhanced" sound systems are merely adequate at best. IMHO, save your money and go with the entry level audio system. You'll get more sound and satisfaction for your money by going the aftermarket route, when you're good and ready. Further details of sound system upgrades are in my sigfile.

I am happy with the sound from the Infinity/Cassette/CD combo. It does have CD changer controls and a plug in the back for the changer. I picked up the changer and installed it under the front seat. Although I thought the steering wheel audio controls were an unnecessary option at the time, I use them all the time with the CD changer.
