Streaming for me, Pandora or Amazon Music. Radio at all is outdated, just commercials and politics - both i don't like.
I like the spontaneity of what radio is supposed to be. It's supposed to be 'Art'. Some DJ's used to make a lot of money because, frankly, they really were Artists.
I can't listen to much of it anymore. It's all either Dinosaur-Rock or people speaking a language no one understands. I've also about given up on Sirius.
They can go for a while with good music on Watercolors then, all of the sudden, they play absolute garbage that more closely resembles an African Death chant than music.
Same with the Blues Channel.
The problem I have with pre-programmed or 'canned' music is -- Just that. I don't wanna know what song is next. That makes life seriously boring.
On the radio, I can suffer through one bad song but not an entire 15 minute set of nonsensical versions of 'Please Kill Me Now'.
They think it's cool. They think they're the smart set. They think it's progressive and we're just too stupid to appreciate the finer things in life.
The truth is -- It's garbage. It will be remembered until the next piece of garbage comes on the radio.
But to address your point -- Radio isn't outdated, the people that run it are. The Usual Suspects. The same people that screw up EVERYTHING they touch. Everything.... Cities, States, entire generations, civilizatiions..... everything
They've done the same thing to Movies and Television. Funny, all the Movie Theaters are closed and -- Nobody cares.
You'd think the 'smart set' would figure it out. But they won't.
They never do.
We're just old and nobody cares what we think anymore. We aren't part of the newer, brain-washed generations that are almost totally obedient.
