I've bought the WalMart Supertech DEF a few times.....it's like $9.

I think some folks think about DEF too much.

I'm so broke I have to buy my DEF at the pump for my Tradesman. You guys buying it by the jug are HIGH ROLLERS. :-laf

I've heard others say/complain that DEF consumption in the first 10,000-20,000 miles has been high.

Not that out trucks our are the same, but the g56 version has low DEF consumption. Likely because there is lower fuel metering in the derated version.

I imagine the 900 ft lb versions will use even more DEF and they didn't increase the Def tank size?

Oh god, we should all go dump our auto trucks for a G56 model, Not!!!! Snoking

Since Cummins has stated that they expect DEF consumption to be approximately 2% of fuel consumption.....what difference does it make on a G56 truck....a 68RFE truck....or an AISIN equipped truck??? Isn't 2%............2% ???

No 2% in a G56 uses a manual 2%. Manual formulas are different, as the driver component differential has to be applied to the muffler throw and can be effected weight of the clutch springyness vs dual mass coefficients equals (B)+{S}-?[Q]. Thus similar to a metric short load.
