i called lenco before nowell switched from stick to auto, they felt it would work but there were a couple of problems to overcome ... first was no overdrive ratio for the lenco , without it the diesel needs something around a 3. 08 gear so its not going thru the traps at 6000 rpm ( i'm just throwing out an rpm) and there isn't , to my knowledge , a race gear in the 3. 00 range for a ford 9" , and it would get old fast redoing the rear when you spit out an old factory gearset because of the big tire needed to hook a 2whl drive , which means you'd need to run a topfuel size tire to knock the ratio down
at the end of sept is the diesel drags at epping , if diesel doug is there , old chev pickup with a detroit 316 6lunger , i'll crawl around the thing and see what he is using . he is using a topfuel size slick on the rear and is runnin' 9's , no way he's doing that with a factory based auto

banshee , you got a point , i don't know where the stick cutoff point is , caltrac is running a stick in his mustang and i'm pretty sure he is sub 10's , maybe sub 9's ???
