Since you posted in the 24v forum, I assume you have a 24v and an electric lift pump.
If you are in a quiet enough area, you can bump the starter, and you will hear the lift pump humming. It'll run for 20-30 seconds, I forget the exact number. If you repeat this cycle enough, you'll hear the sound change when it finally has some fuel to pump (instead of air). It's taken me 8 to 10 tries sometimes. Since I installed my fuel pressure gauge, I don't have to listen for it, and that's a good thing, as my hearing isn't what it used to be.
After you hear the change, try to start it. Hold the pedal down, and crank up to about 15 seconds. Wait two minutes before cranking again. It's a small starter and it gets HOT!
It'll run rough for a while after it starts, but it'll smooth out.
You may want to change the fuel filter after this adventure. There's no telling what you've sucked into it. You'll get to practice the priming ritual again after you change the filter.
