Well I put on my Ranch 9000's last week and am not regretting the purchase. Ordered from Sams Offroad Monday morning on the internet and the following Monday a box was on my steps. Good shipping and a good price.

Took about 2 hrs to install the four. I am now in the market for a bigger impact wrench. Those lug nuts resist removal with a normal 1/2" drive wrench!! I am somewhat concerned about having to change a tire on the road.

The Rancho shocks are noticably heavier (weight) than the OEM shocks.

Set the rears on 1 and the fronts on 4. Drove to Reno and back and the ride was greatly improved. Not like a Caddy but TOLERABLE. Picked up 25 surplus money bags to fill with sand for some weight in the rear. Hope this helps some more.

With the NEW Rancho 9000x shocks there are 9 positions of adjustment. How do they compare to the old 5 position? Is the 1 same as the old 1? Is the 9 the same as the old 5?

Which way

Which way did you come into Reno? There is a 2 mile stretch on I-80 that makes my truck hop quite a bit. It was between McCarran and Vista on east bound I-80 in Sparks. I put the R-9000's on hoping it would smooth this out a little. Its on our commute route and my co-pilot complains about it every day.

I just installed a set of 9000x the other day. They are much better than the stock ones. However, from what I was told at Rancho, the amount of valving from one end to the other remains the same. The extra adjustment is for in between the 1-4 on the 9000's. This is to allow more fine tuning. I run 9000's on my Jeep and definetly notice the difference. The changes are not that sharp. I am running '3' in the rear and '4' up front. I was not sure if it was safe to run them on '1'. I have a 3500 and am not sure if '1' would be able to control the springs.
