Competition Roll Call for Modifieds at Muncie

Competition Lincoln County Spring Pull, Stanford Ky

Yeah, Mistah Fetcha did it again... This run saw a 1. 67 60', and again for posterity: 10. 52 at over 131mph!!

He was racing a Nova who ran 10. 15, and almost caught him at the end of the track. Amazing. Oh, and he was spewing thick black smoke all the way to the end. I gotta be there when he shoots the NOS... Oo. I watched this one from the stands.

All that and a bag of chips... :)

Myself, I jumped back to my quickest 60', matching a previous best of 1. 69. My tires screamed but I still got a pretty respectable time there. On that run I saw the most boost I've ever run: 58lbs!! Thanks to Piers for the head clamping and fuel ;) and Pius for the badass turbo. That run netted me a second-best all-time with a 12. 74 @103+. Also ran one with 1. 71 60', ET 12. 82 @102+.

Brackets tomorrow... :)

Oh, and there was a hopped-up 360 Ram with stickers all over it (pretty trick looking like Fletcher and Hoss's) that I guess the guy bought on eBay, and he's running 12. 5's... :D snicker...

That is moving out. I have been watching these threads. I am waiting for him to break into the 9's. Looks like Maddog really has his work cut out for him.

Yep I have my work cut out for me considering I out weight him by at least 1500lbs, and not to mention the aerodynamics of a brick (much higher than that low rider);)

I find this a most interesting post. You say you want to be there for the nos shot. Does that mean this is on no 2 only? That has to be the fastest "street" truck in America. That kinda leaves us down here 4 th or fifth best. Such a sad day.

Translation: Dodge is faster than Ford. :-laf

Sweet!!!! I've already spent my Mother's S. S. check this month however, if I had a buck I would bet it's Garmon's

truck????

. . PT. .

Uh, is it Racer X from "Speed Racer"? It's not that I don't believe, but we've seen actual time slips and have witnesses for Fletcher's runs.

I've heard of Sasquatch (Big Foot), but haven't seen him and don't know anyone who personally has. Of course, that doesn't mean he doesn't exist (I hear he works at Dodge torquing bolts)... :D

No need for secrets, tell us who and have him (or her) show us a slip!:p

Yes yes, we need another time slip to drool over. Besides I love to show my drag racing buddies what a diesel can do. They all think they are only good for one thing, towing.

I think what most people here don't understand is the trucks being discussed are modified or pro trucks not street or pro street, I think we will see some trucks in the 9's this year in the modified class. I think it would be real interesting to see the white dodge pass tech at a DHRA event as a pro street truck. :D ;) :p

Rhonda, it was Jeff Garmon and it was actually a 10. 19 @ 135. xx mph. It was witnessed by many including the mid 10 second S10 he was racing. ;)

Jeff needs to get certified before he can go much quicker. Then he can start adding some hipo toys. He's still running stock pump, stock cam, off the shelf turbo's, stock intercooler, etc.

Jeff will be at the TS Performance race this weekend so we'll see how he does there.

Thanks David. That is really killer, no matter how it was done! Garmon has definately proven himself more than once...

Richard, any specific reason for thinking the white truck wouldn't pass tech? I don't know their rules for the different categories.

I am sure it would pass tech as a "modified" or "pro" truck but not as a "Street" truck. The difference is I could tow his truck to the track with the Big green school bus un-hook and then make a high 10 second pass.

Come on Richard. No need to get your feeling hurt so easy. It's just racing. I'm just glad to see all the fast... ... ... 10 sec... ... ... . trucks runnin Sun Coast "Pro Loc" trannys. We got something going for us down here.

Gonna be a fun year, for sure. For sure!

And Ronda... ... ... The S-10 Jeff ran was dial in at 10. 20. A bad little truck , too. :)

My feelings are not hurt!!! but IMHO people were given the impression that the white truck was street legal.
