Competition Lincoln County Spring Pull, Stanford Ky

Hey Richard...

Are you going to be out at RMR anytime this year. I think the next Mid Night Drag is coming up this friday night... I need to get the water/meth done in time!!!

Good... ..... I'm glad everythings cool. We have never said nor implied the truck Jeff runs in "Street Legal". I am not at liberty

to give the times, however the record for street was matched

last friday night 98 mph 1/8 , and a 1/4 that looked very

familiar! Street legal Dodge 2500 GDP powered. This truck was just on diesel. Nothing else. OK... . So I saw it run, too.

See you at Bowling Green? Our truck will be.

. . Preston... ... ... ... ... ... ..... All in fun... ... ... ... ... ... :D

My feelings are not hurt!!! but IMHO people were given the impression that the white truck was street legal. [/B][/QUOTE]

Richard,

If the White truck you refer to is Fletchers it is very much street legal and he and I drive both our trucks around to local cruise in's and mess with the ricers whenever we get a chance. He (like myself) is running DOT tires and racing on them also. We may smoke a little more than the average diesel but are none the less street legal, all steel trucks.

You drive the Red Rocket to cruise with the ricers? LOL. . man I sure would love to see that. I had the pleasure of watching that truck run what would have been an 11. 9x pass (if not for a little wheel hop) here in Sacramento year or two ago. He was trailering the truck everywhere, though. I sure would like to see the looks on people's face when they get handed their a$$ by that truck on the street :-laf... and I can't even imagine these guys running in the 10's... when's the next track meet where I can come watch you guys set these incredible times?

You will always be a Forder, Richard.

How many chickens have you counted, already??

I'll wait until they hatch, but I will be watching for a lot of this::{ :D

Richard... . long as you post some vids of that transplant Cummins running 10's, I don't care what it's in! I love it when people who have no clue send me the link to your video of the 11 second pass in Vegas and say "Look at this powerstroke! That's way faster than any Dodge!" :D Just have to say "Yep, sure is... but it's still a Cummins!"

All you guys running stuff this insane are a step above the rest of us... no need to bicker amongst yourselves on here... . we do it well enough for you.

I guess in Washington you can drive around with the right headlight out and be legal. lol The truck maybe street legal but do you honestly think that when it goes to the track that it would pass the DHRA tech to run in the "street truck" or "modified street" truck class? BTW I know a little more about the truck than just a missing head light. LOL

I am not saying that the truck does not run well, cause it does, but lets face it fletchers truck will be running with the likes of Jeff Garmon, Banks, the little red express ect.

Okay, Richard, you must be better friends with Fletcher than the rest of us to know this secret thing that makes him not street legal. I still don't get it... It's kinda moot anyway, as I don't believe he intends to run at any DHRA events.

In NHRA, you only need one front and one rear light. I've seen guys run with a flashlight in the rear, legal.

Is it important for a "street legal" truck to be set up to tow? I'd be out, then, as my hitch has been removed. :p

I hope you do come out in the tens on your new motor debut; I will applaud you for sure! :) My stepdad in California who has a Powerstroke told me he saw a video of your truck and how fast the Fords were. I had to disappoint him by telling him what you were powered by! LOL

BTW, I know a bit about your setup too... This diesel world is a small pond... ;)

And one more thing, Richard. If Jeff knew yu were spelling his name "Gorman", he would stick pins in a head gasket, call to the diesel gods, put 5 drops on fuel on the edge and put a curse on your motor mounts, that hold the Cummins in place. :D You would then lose a Cummins and may have to run a PSD from ford. :p Damn, whata thought... ... Naugh..... Jeff wouldn't do that?

See u at the track.

Yes I will be at RMR a few times this year, look forward to seeing you there.

In NHRA you don't need a headlight at all, and you only need a taillight for night drags. But keep in mind that we(nhra racers) don't have to be street legal.

Hey Maddog maybe you will have to head over to Washington to help me tech his truck if he shows up at a DHRA race! I'd love to see you and your truck race!

Well I'm new the the whole DHRA thing (and to drag raceing in general) but we needed someone to head up the races in the northwest this year so I figured I'd step up. We'd love to have you guys show up with a 10 sec. truck!

Rhonda, I saw you at BD and wanted to introduce myself and say hi but everytime I got free from a conversation you had vanished again. I waved as I was pulling out but I'm sure you had no idea who I was. I wish I could have seen you and Rusty diceing it up on the way home but we kinda made a wrong turn then got held up at the border so we were a bit behind. Oh well maybe next time. I hope to see you and any other northwesterners at the tracks for the DHRA races this year!
