Good experience with air bags

I'm just finishing the installation on my truck using Airlift bags and compressor.

I will say the the airbag install has been interesting. I've done these things before, but this one is more of a challenge than others.

I just got done installing a set of Air-Lift bags on my 93' W250. The installation was not as straight forward as I thought. I had to drill an extra hole on the upper brackets in order to clear the factory frame brace/crossmember that was over the rear axle. Everything else was a snap. Immediately after installing them, I headed to a local landscaping company to get a yard of crushed rock. The ride home was really good and the rear did not sag too much. I noticed rear bouncing has been greatly reduced while driving empty. I would recommend rear air bags for all 1st gen owners. :)

I just put a set on my truck a week ago. My rear bracket bolts lined up to be in the middle of the "horseshoe" on the cross member. Mine is a D350, but I'm sure the cross member is in the same spot.

I was probably just being more cautious as to not run into a clearance issue with this crossmember. It might have worked without drilling another hole. I do know my leaf springs are not equal in arch between both sides. This error in leaf spring arch may have caused my issues. :-laf
