Dont know how good it is, But while looking for disc setup for my 89 jeep Cherokee I found this place www.tsmmfg.com that has a drum to disc conversion set for the Dodge and Jeep. Check it out and see what y'all think?

I know this set up from them would be fine for the little Cherokee, Dont know about a CTD Ram though?

Doug.

Thanks for the link- I have wondered about changing the drums to discs on my 99 2500. I sent them an e-mail for the bottom line-$ and total parts needed. Will advise.

Anybody know of a source for a rear disk conversion for duallys with the stock 16" tires?

Glenn

I'm in the process........

Of using OEM parts to convert. At least for my truck with the Dana 80 rear all the stock parts from a 2001. 5 will fit. Have to change the resevoir/master cyclinder to hold enough fluid for the dual piston calipers though. I found a DC tech that does side jobs and he is looking into getting al the parts for me now. I'll document the whole thing with photos when we do it and report back.

I can't help but think that the larger calipers will help more than some of the coversion kits I've seen. That and DC's rotors in the back have the set up for a true parking brake also.

i saw an advertisement of a company called EGR that has rear disc brake conversions. Their adverisement can be found in the new turbo diesel register. Don't remeber page of hand though but just look in the index for them .

Checked into it, they do not offer anything for duallys with 16" wheel.

It seems that I may have heard that Piers had been working on trying to get a rear disk conversion together to sell as a conversion package. I guess I might have to check into it myself.

Got an e-mail from tsmmfg.com Looks like the $ for the conversion for a 2500 is about $650-700 + labor. NOt bad for some stopping power-and cheaper than a new truck!
