Well I just sold my 02HO 4X4 LB w/ 45K and bought a 99 4X4 SB with 122K.

On my 02 the rear end never sagged when i put my 600lb quad in the bed and hooked up my 2Klb quad trailer but with the 99 it does. It sits level if not lower in the back with that little load.

Is this normal on older trucks with high mileage. What can I do to fix it. I dont want to put air bags on because it is just like a band-aid on bad springs. (I think)

Thanks

My 98 sagged alot more than my 02 does with the same load from day 1. I don't think its the mileage just weaker springs back then. In theory both trucks were identical except for motor and transmission.

Does either truck have overloads? I just put airbags on my truck to compensate for the loss of overload springs. Ride is much better empty and I can adjust the air for the tongue weight of my toybox trailer(1200lb tongue) or any other load. But then again, I did this with <40k miles so there ain't no spring problems to be masking!

Does anybody have a soulition. Like are there replacement springs, and are they year and wheelbase specific. How much???

Thanks BigDan
