Does anyone have suggestions on a distinct vibration, seemingly from the rear. The 4W lever even shakes. This started when I had the rear diff yoke seal replaced (dealer). The vibration/shake was immediately noticeable, turned around, and mech thought the u-joints may have had dirt/mud in them, and now w/o same they probably were worn (~150K miles). Had both rear-shaft u-joints replaced. Now, when the recent gumbo was washed off the wheels, no change. Had both rear wheels re-balanced (out a couple of ounces). Problem still there.

Question, could the yoke and/or the pinion gear have been replaced NOT in original mating, hence out-of-balance situation? Perhaps the front drive shaft u-joints?

The first thing I would check is the rear driveshaft to yoke. Reinstall it 180 degrees from where it is and drive it again. I don't think the pinion to yoke will have nearly as much influence, though that would probably have been the best. Doesn't seem like much else is possible with how it started so suddenly. Good luck finding it.

You might check the drive shaft to make sure a weight didn't get knocked off or the shaft get dented when the recent work was done.

With a Club Cab and 8' bed you will have two rear drive shafts, make sure they are both lined up the same. If the splines on the slip yoke do not have a master spline, the rear could be off alignment with the intermediate shaft. You will have to look real close, one spline off will be hard to see, but will cause major vibration's.
