Subwoofers totally rely on the enclosure to produce deep loud bass. Whatever driver you put in the stock speaker hole you won't get any real bass.

Or maybe I misuderstand you...

I had an enclosure built that fits under my rear seat in the extended cab. Two 8 inch subs fit just fine in the front of the enclosures. I know 8 inch sups arent real big but they fit well and they sound ok to me. I also fit toe 5x9's in the front of the enclosure also. If you want to see a picture just let me know and Ill try to post one.

Speakers are 10" 300 watt Kicker VR's

Amp is about a 275watt x2 PCX. I am not positive about the amp. I destroyed two Kicker DX-350 amps before th audio store put this amp in,, and this amp has been working perfect for a long while.

If you want a massage, this setup will definatly do it! even though the speakers and amp are capable of 600 watts, the enclosure is limiting the output to only about 40% of that.

The Audio guru said he'd give me and install the correct sized enclosures for free whenever I felt like upgrading to a bigger box. (That would be 60% louder, for $0 )

The box when turned up all the way will shake everything and anything in the truck. all the mirrors shake, and the rearview mirror is absolutely useless, only thing see able in the mirror is a huge blur of things behind you.

Any questions, feel free to ask. .
