I have a 29' fifth and was wondering if a rear anty sway bar would help the stability of my 05 Dodge towing and not towing. All info welcom Thanks Ski#@$%!

Adding a rear sway bar, depending on the diameter will make it steer more nuetral or towards oversteer if it is fat enough. It will also limit articulation to some extent.

I'll put it a slightly different way.

Yes.

Do it.

A rear sway bar will limit body roll. Use a for-real Dodge one so it will be the correct diameter. The rear sway bar is part of the camper package, and for good reason.

skorski is talking about an 05 Dodge with the boxed frame. In my opinion you do not need a rear sway bar because of the new frame. My 95 DRW had the rear sway bar and the 05 did not come with one nor was one an option. I had the same 11'-3" Lance camper on both trucks and the 05 handled the camper better without the rear sway bar than the 95 did with the rear sway bar. My yard stick to tell whether you need a rear sway bar is with a large camper when you pass an uncoming 18 wheeler on a 2 lane highway at 65 MPH. If your truck and camper sway bad, you need a rear sway bar. My 05 didn't sway with the camper and it didn't squat as much as the 95.

Grizzly, you're right. My eyes and brain saw the 05 as a 95 and answered accordingly. gettiin' old, I think.
