1 1/16 (ram 3500) vs 15/16 (ram 2500)

I was in the proccess of upgradeing my rear wheel cycl. to the larger size after reading what evryone on hear has done with great results. Went to Rockauto.com, wich has the pulldown parts lists. Acording to that, and after also calling napa,I may already have the 1 1/16 size cylinders on there . They may have come stock on the 4x4 deisels.

Has anyone ever run into this before i go pulling the rear apart?

On a side note, is there any way to tell if the perportioning valve, located under the master cyl,in engine comp. is working? It seams the bias is 100% toward the front. I have almost 400,000 miles on 2 sets of rear shoes. And, I tow and use the truck as it is intended. They should be wearing down.

thanks in advance... rich

well... I answered my own question. My truck had the smaller slave's cyl. on it. Just finished up installing the larger 1 1/16 th ones. took the truck for a drive, WOW! what a difference. Deffinatly better.

Strange thing though, the old shoe's ,not worn much, but both sides were cracked straight accros. all 4 of them were cracked.
