I didn't get any responses over on the 3rd gen forum, so I'm reposting here.
I spun a bearing or threw a rod or something in my 2006 engine, and due to rather extensive mods on my part, it's not under warranty. Anyway, I now have the opportunity to rebuild the engine from the ground up. What I need is some suggestions on mods to consider when I'm putting it back together. This would be stuff like flycutting the pistons, special coatings, blueprinting, boring, stroking, etc. It's for a daily driver that will end up getting every power mod I can think of thrown at it eventually. It needs to be reliable and driveable and fast. Currently I am planning on heaving the head ported with the Extrude Hone Powerflow AFM process.
Any ideas from all you engine builders out there? What should I be thinking about?
