New Truck MPG?

I only have 17,000 miles on the truck, all of that towing my horse trailer-Living quarters. I am in the 10.5 to 12 MPG range towing. I do not have any longish trips with the truck empty. Short (20 mile radius) trips in the 16-18mpg range.

HI,

I too come from a world of "when in doubt go for the 4.10, you will never look back'. My 2013 changed all that when set to upgrade the only thing was out there was 3.73. What a world of difference between my 2nd Gen 3500 Dually and the 2013 3500 Dually. I haul a Lance 850 (~2900 lbs), hitch deck and trailer with my CJ. No issues. I wouldn't hesitate with the 3.73 and I can roll at 70 MPH.

Don't forget you will need swing out hinges for the front jacks if you get the dually. I would never have a srw again with a slide in camper. Duallys eliminate squirming and roll in the corners. I have the 4.10's but we have lots of hills where I live and can't go much over 55 with a trailer.
