You might want to have your dad or a friend take some of your mods off before the insurance company gets their paws on it (if it's totaled).

I think if the frame gets bent they have to replace it (the frame). I don't think hydroformed frames are repairable. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank You everyone for the nice comments . I just woke up and my neck is killing me and i still have werid shocks of pain flying down my arms and legs and numbness in my right arm. I took some drugs they gave me so hopefully i will be feeling better soon.

Nick - Take it easy and recover, you got smacked pretty good. How much was left of the little Jeep that hit you? The truck doesn't look totalled, but the repair bill is going to be a big one. Hope the moron that hit you has legit insurance!

My guess...

$4,500 to $6,000 and approximately 1 week per $1,000.



Mine... $8,500 damage and 6 weeks to repair.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I don't think the truck is damaged all that bad... no where near totaled in my opinion. What lies underneath is the question, you'll never know until it's fully inspected from the underside. A few weeks and 5-7 large and it'll back on the road. My previous truck had 5k worth of damge to the front and looked worse than this one. Anyway, glad you'll be allright, your truck will be too.

the shop called me and said the underside is worse than what appears. They said the suspension is very screwed up. Not sure what they mean exactly but they said thats the only part that they cant unbolt and put back together.

If it was here in Cali the damage would be an easy $10K. I see the broken drag link, hopefully the control link mounts are still in the right place.

How old was the "aimer"?

I got stupid punks racing around here all the time and it makes really nervous, almost time to attach a rope to the pintle and search for skrawny necks to drag.

Nick I am sorry to read this post!!! From the pictures it looks like the Jeep spun you around about 90 degrees and he did a 180



If the frame and suspension are seriously tweaked the only fix may be a complete frame replacement. When you're talking that serious of a repair it's quite likely they will total it.



Nick I hope everything will be OK with you. In a situation like this you need a good physician who will keep a close eye on things because if you are as sore as you are and are having nerve problems there is a possibility of ongoing, chronic pain even months down the road and other issues.
