Have a wheat farmer friend with a '13 6.7 and wants to know if red diesel will " mess up " the EGR system or
the other sensors on his truck. He is quite remote making dealer trips a pain. What say ya'll?

All ULSD is the same so there is no concern there - just look at all the new Ag equipment with tier IV as evidence. It is illegal to run off road in a vehicle registered for the road. Your farmer buddy should be able to file at the end of the year for a refund on the taxes paid on highway fuel.

Funny how you get fined for running “Red Dyed” un-taxed fuel for not paying highway taxes...
But the Gov is pushing us to all drive “Electric” cars and trucks . Last I checked there is No highway taxes on the “Red Dyed” electric coming out of my wall outlets.... How come they don’t fine that guy driving those people driving electric cars?

They are and have been, at least the conservative states. Ohio for example charges $200 annually for EV registration. For comparison, my truck costs me less than $80 annually.

About time some one noticed. Here in Ny our highway tax is the highest in the nation. Right now they don’t charge anything for electric cars...

It is actually a bit surprising NY of all places doesn't tax them. They're generally not shy when it comes to an opportunity to grab some more moolah.

They will dip your tank here in Georgia if you drive a diesel. I was at a farm coop two years ago and as I started to leave, the GA DOT Enforcement team blue lighted me and checked for dye stains. They had stopped me there about a year before that. I see them checking tanks of landscapers quite often when they pull them over for trailer inspections.

Comifornia, for the most part, wants to install their own device to determine the miles driven, then to tax that amount of miles. Of coarse, no talk of lowering the already unfair higher tax on Diesel.

They will move to a per mile driven tax.

OH BOY, you let the secret out now. If every car was replaced with Electric vehicles, the emissions from all the power plants that would have to be built, would be incalculable.

Not if you build a Nuke plant. No emissions... We've almost got the 1000 years the stuff is contaminated for issue solved... Just ask people in Japan and Russia.....
