Better idle, huh? It's common to make such observations when you like something you use or you enhanced. Just like I thought that I felt a difference upon removing the silencer ring from the turbo. If you like the Red Line additive, use it. It's good, nothing bad about it. I use the Stanadyne Performance Additive, because it's the best on the market and I buy it in 5 gallon cans at a better price than what I get in the small bottles regardless of brand name. Either way, use it at each fill up, because Diesel fuel has lost a significant amount of its lubricity lately and that is really what you need the additive for.

DieselB59, it's great you feel the Stanadyne product is the best on the market however, others feel the Red Line products are superior. I have been using Red Line's 85+ Diesel fuel conditioner (same formula as their Diesel Fuel Catalyst..... now) since 3k mi. until just recently (I just switched over to the Amsoil Diesel Fuel Concentrate). If the Amsoil product proves its worth I'll continue its use, if not, I will run (not walk) back to Red Line! Personally, I have a problem trusting a company who can't produce a reliable injection pump (i. e. , Stanadyne injection pump in the 6. 5 Detroit/GM TD). #ad

Sky, check out: www.redlineoil.com This link used to be on the Links page however, someone deleted it. Red Line has a very thorough website... check it out... even if you're a diehard ________ customer.

Well, gotta throw in my two cents worth here. I started using Redline 85+ last winter. My honest evaluation: 1/2 MPG improvement, slightly quieter engine, and solace in the knowledge that I'm lubing my injector pump. When this batch is gone, more will be on the way. Good company, good stuff.
