Off Roading Great Issue

Off Roading pulled out a hummer

Now I get to pick on Hoss again: Hoss, my truck said she'd appreciate it if you'd refer to her by her given name, Pavement Princess. She wants to have a "name" like everyone else! :) What does Fletcher call his? "Moby"?

More to come!

Well she is back on the road and all can say is YEEE HAW!!!!!!

We (Byron, Nathan and myself) have been working our butts off for the last couple weeks (man am lucky to have those guys around ) we removed the transmission and installed a new flex plate and torque converter and had the drivelines rebuilt. Did a spring under conversion and relocated the spring pearches. Gutted the interior and installed a roll cage and new seats with 5 point harnesses (man that Nathan is a hell of a welder )

We are now accomplished transmission refillers I do not know if that is a goob thing?????? (that transmission is a pain to fill!!!)

The new torque converter works great! No more stalling on neutral to first shifts!!!! When you hit lock up

!!!!!!!!!! Hang on!!!!! The truck sits lower in the back now than it did before (which helps with weight transfer) I am going to get some time behind the wheel now and if all goes well I will be hitting a test & tune in the near future.

My wife went and got me a digital camera so I am taking pictures and as soon as I figure out how to put them on the computer I will post some!!!

This whole project has been so much fun I cannot tell you what a pleasure it has been. More than just the truck, I have made a bunch of new friends Gary, Scott, Josh I mean Jake, Blair, Adam, Chris, Stan and more. I have been spending a lot of time with a great bunch of guys Byron, Nathan, Andy, and Randy

and best of all I have the most understanding wife a man could ever ask for who not only puts up with me being gone working on the truck but encourages me!!!!!

I could never have been able to get this far without the help of all of the above people and a lot more.

Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Hoss

HOSS: Are you planning on adding to the roll bar?

I have a feeling that this truck will eventually turn a quick enough ET to require a bit more complex roll cage.

The cage is not done. I do not have the seats exactly where I want them, they need to be lowered a couple inches which will effect where the door bar goes so until I get the seats set we are waiting to finish the cage. I certainly hope to need a 11. 99 and under certification in the near future!!!! :D

For now I want the truck a little nose high. It will help with weight transfer until I can get the four link installed and do some big time weight reduction!!!!!

Sweet... I hope you need a 'bigger' certification as well. I'm really looking forward to the truck making some impressive passes.

Matt

You and me both :D

Do not expect anything earth shattering this summer.

But next summer... ..... :D that will be fun!!!!!!!

Unlike Nowel I am not a secret squirel kind of guy. You all will know what I am doing and it will be very cool

I think the truck is headed in a good direction so far.

It's expensive to have fun with these trucks and I can wait for the earth shattering passes until next summer.
