I’m thinking about swapping the passenger side battery and Air filter. I have Optima batteries; they’re small enough to fit in the air-box location. Than:
1. Install a straight piece of stainless pipe in place of the plastic flex pipe. (Same diameter)
2. Wrap the pipe with an insulation blanket to help keep the air cool.
3. Cut a hole into the wheel well; install a watertight louver for added fresh air intake.
4' And install an aFe canon just slightly below and right of the alternator.
I’m thinking that the straight pipe would have a greater CFM. Flex pipe causes turbulence and the bend restriction.
Has anyone tried this or have any thoughts?
Thanks
