Has anyone done any testing on the Edge EZ? I think a remote three postion switch would be great on these boxes, (not that I would ever install one on my TOTALLY STOCK truck).
If one set of pins (top OR bottom row) is common, it would be very easy to use a single pole tripple throw mini switch mounted in the cab somewhere inconspicuous.
I don't know if a power off/on cycle is needed to switch between postion 1,2,3 either. Just some random thoughts running around here..... #ad

Hey Mick, it's been a while. I don't know if the on/off cycle would be required either but I don't think the wires supplied with the unit would make it into the cab. I suppose that could be remedied but I don't know that this is the kind of thing that you would need to be turning on and off that often. Have you tried one? It brings a little grin to your face when you are driving along that you don't get without.

Mick,

I've been wondering the exact same thing. My only concern has been whether there would be too much of a voltage loss through the wiring that runs to the cab. I think I will email the the folks at Edge to see what they have to say. Although I'll have to admit that I haven't had any desire to run anything below level 3!

Mick, changing the jumper settings only changes when fuel is added in relationship to boost. I don't think there would any gains or advantage to having a remote jumper switch. On the dyno there is not any peak increase in HP with different jumper settings.

Thanks for all the thoughts. A 'buddy' has one installed and I was just thinking out loud. The bottom row of jumper pins is common. I wasn't thinking of moving his actual box inside but just the switch so he could changed it at the next stoplight or sumpthin' #ad

I agree there isn't much difference in the overall HP change but #3 SURE changes the midrange! #ad
I can imagine he would drop from 17+ MPG to something under 12 with #3 all the time. #ad
