I want to remove the rear 6" block. Which Skyjacker spring will leave the same ride height in the rear. If anyone has this setup, can you still haul the same amount of weight? I've had up to 6000 lbs in the box. Can I re-arch the stockers to compensate or is that a bit much?

Kurt

that would be too much for a rearch. A six inch lift spring should do it I would think. I used some 91 dakota rear springs, they have the same hole location but are longer and can be arched up to about five to seven inches of lift but it was a pain in the butt and you would have to add alot of leaves to haul 6000 lbs.

I think what I'm looking for is the DR60 for $590 a pair. :{ Anybody want to buy some 4 year old 40,000 mile stockers. :D

Kurt

I sent you a PM but if you didn't get it, I would really like to buy your 6 inch blocks. I would also take your stock springs if we could make the shipping to New England feasible. email me Dave

You should go over to ramchargercentral.com and explore the "shackle flip", you eliminate the block, flip the shackle for you lift, it gives a surprising amount of lift too. Pinion angle is my only concern. Plus you can mount the shackle lower on the frame or build a custom shackle (they have plans on the site)to mount same place with a lower hang to achieve the high lift the 4x4 nutz seem to like. I love the poorboy DIY stuff...

I wouldn't do the shackle flip. I did, there are pics in my gallery. It moves the rearend forward and you have to put new holes in your springs or make an ofset block, witch your trying to get rid of. One thing it did do however is give the truck some anti squat. When I dump the clutch the rearend actually rises up like a funny car. Might be somewhat because of my light duty springs though.
