Where can I find a new grid heater? The posts broke out of mine, & it is currently unhooked. Don't want a fire, you know.

you do not need the grid heater. get a grid heater delete block from cummins, glacer, winspeed fbd, or others and remove the wiring between the solenoid and heater.

Being that it is only 30* here and I am having a hard time starting the truck if it sits for a couple of days. With the heaters it would start without trouble after a one cycle.

after reading your signal i see the problem. i have one that fits a cr i will look at one of my 09's to see if it is the same if you want it you can have it for shipping. pm me

You say, you don't need a grid heater. How is that possible? What sort of winter do you have where you live?

I've had mine unplugged for years now and can get by until the temps get below freezing. At that point I use the block heater for a few hours and the engine starts regardless of temp.

It is -5 F here the other night. Last winter we had some -30.

Gordon, if I lived where you do I'd just leave the grids plugged in. We usually leave home (Idaho) in the fall and head south to see our kids. Other than a few bad days in west Texas I avoid winter temps for the most part.

I can get my grid heater back on line if I have to but they've pretty much been off line since 2002.

I don't see if anyone answered your original question. Here is one source of grid heaters if you need it.

Glacier Diesel Power

If all else fails hope this is helpful.

OOPs. I see this is only a replacement block to eliminate the heater. I will keep looking.
