The special long bulb in my headlight switch can be be replaced with a 94-97 dodge intrepid headlight switch bulb. The intrepid bulb has a green condom over it, so it is only 1/2 as bright. It removes easily with a knife. The holder is black and not gray, so what. Both draw the same amps.

Intrepids are all over the junk yards. I got 4 bulbs (only 2 were good) so get spares when you go.

Removal: open drivers door, pop fuse cover, remove 1 phillips screw under fuse door to remove switch trim-it is clipped in back by the steering wheel, remove 4 phillips screws on switch-tilt the column for access, remove switch & unplug both wires-small screwdriver to pry locks at each end of plug, turn upside down, remove bulb with small screwdriver. (1 bulb is short & one is long). ALL you need is 2 screwdrivers & 30 seconds... .

So, I take it the dealer does not have this part available anymore. Intrepids are plentiful in the junkyards. I'll pick up a few bulbs for when I need them. Thanks for the tip!
