I saw someone at the New England Meet on April 1st with a wire mesh grill.
Looked almost like the stock grill but when I looked closer it was a metal wire grill.

Anyone know what i am talking about?
Thanx

The grill I saw looked like a direct replacement and not an insert. I've done a ton of searches and can't find something to confirm what it was I saw. All I know was It was cool! #ad

Great to see all you guys in Milford #ad

Stull, Lund, and Street Scene(?) (SS anyway), all make replacement grilles along the lines of what you are describing. I looked around quite a bit to find one that I liked. Make sure you get a chance to check them out in person before ordering from any of them. The build quality varied substantially.

Which one did you wind up going with?

Me personally, I went with the SS brand. It wasn't exactly the look that I was looking for, but it was close. The manufacturing quality was certainly more stout.

Hi!, i was at the meet in Milford on the 1st. I had the only Intense blue Ram there and the only one with the "Mesh" grill, so i am guessing you saw my truck. The grill i have is a Stull "Diamond-wire" series grill. They also make matching inserts for the lower bumber holes. It is 100% stainless so it will never rust. Mine does not fit that nice though. I spoke with the owner of Stull and he said they have fixed that and he sent me a brand new one (Just have not had time to change it out). But i can see it will fit perfectly. Another nice thing about this grill is the holes are small enough to stop pebbles from damaging any of the coolers. E-mail me if you need any more info. EMDDIESEL@aol.com

Oh, i forgot to mention. To install it you remove the gray plastic factory "Honey-Comb" grill and this goes in place of it, it is not something that fits over your stock grill. The Chrome support bars and Ram emblem stay in place. Took about 45 minutes with basic hand tools (8MM socket and combo wrench and a slotted screwdriver and side cutters to remove the stock honeycomb).

Thanx EMDDIESEL,
You answered everything I needed to know. sorry I never got a chance to talk to you about your truck. You were walking out of HOOTERS while me and CPFF were finishing our beers.
Where did you purchase the grill by the way?
Thanx again.

Are these what you are looking for?

If so they are the Stull SS series grills and I bought mine through Summit Racing - www.summitracing.com , part #STU-2001 for the grill and #STU-2004 for the bumper inserts. I love mine, they stop all the rocks and most of the bugs from getting to the radiator.

Steve, how do the bumper inserts go in. I have a set that matches the stock grill and they just stapped in. I was looking for something a little more sturdy

Does Stull have a website or catalog to thumb through?
At first, I wasn't looking at replacing the grey plastic honeycomb part. Just the outer frame due to a collision with a chrome deer in the grocery store parking lot. Now that I see some of the available accessories, it may have to be a package deal.

Stull Industries
Summit has the 2001 on backorder for appx 2 weeks but it seems like they have the best price.

John- looks like they have some full grills with the insert already in the grill on Stull's website.

good luck and thanx for the input guys. #ad
