Replacing glass in mirrors?

Just back from hauling camper and large boat down the Baja and over to the Pacific side (about 500 miles below the border). My trailer came back missing both boat guides, the support jack, and one wheel. It is at the welder's place today. He can take care of all of that, but my driver's side mirror took two direct hits; one in each direction. It is fully functional (great product), but the glass has several cracks in it. QUESTION: Is it possible to replace the glass without having to replace all or most of the whole assembly?

Replacing the glass should not be a problem. I replaced mine in my 2001. Just go to one of the glass companys that carry windshields and they should be able to help. I went straight a distributer and they sold me one.
