Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Reset codes

The dealer replaced my lift pump under warranty for a 0216 code. I know it can be the injector pump also. As soon as I got the truck home I checked the codes and it still read 0216. Either he did not reset or the problem still exists. How do I reset the code to see if it throws it again. Will unhooking the batteries for a few hours do this?

Erase Codes

You should be able to unhook the batteries for about 5 min and erase all of the codes that are in the computer.

I unhooked the batteries overnight,left the key on and the codes are still there. It's been about 50 miles since new lift pump, restarted about 6 times and still has the 0216 code. Truck runs fine but would like to reset code to see if there is still a hidden problem. I guess it is a trip back to the dealer-if only they were not so difficult to work with. If it was not for this site I would have paid for thousands of dollars of work over the years that was warranty.
