I took out my TST #6 a couple of weeks ago and replaced it with my version of a #100. The old stock plate was ground flat with the mounting bracket, but I left a slight curve at the bottom - a bit less than a #10. Mounting is full forward, as was the #6. After over 1300 miles of driving with the new plate, I filled up again (35 gal tank + 30+ gal in 6-gal cans). Driving is usually about 50/50 city/hwy, but I wasn't on the highway as much as usual this time. I tried to drive like I always have, but the fun of testing out the extra punch from this new plate proved hard to resist! In the past the #6 gave good power, 20-21 mpg mixed driving mileage, 500 deg (post-turbo) & 5 psi boost @ 65 mph, 500 deg & 7 psi @ 75 mph.
The new plate gives noticeably more power (acceleration) through all speeds and rpm. EGTs run about 100 deg more during acceleration, but are the same during 65 and 75 mph cruising. Boost is more: I could get to about 35 psi floored with the #6, but have now pushed past 40 with more pedal left. Smoke is no more than before - this surprised me. Most surprising is the fuel mileage I got after my last fillup (I was almost empty
): 1362 miles on 66. 5 gal = 20. 5 mpg. It's right where it was with the stock plate and the #6. I haven't towed anything with this setup yet, but I suppose that EGTs will be a bit higher during the climb - I'll keep an eye on the pyro.
