Just returned from the Scheid Diesel Rally
in Terre Haute, Indiana and have to say it
was a GREAT SUCCESS!! I had a great time
(as always)and want to personally thank
Dan Scheid and his ENTIRE STAFF for putting
on such a excellent event!
It seems as though there were alot more
vendors this year. More on that later... ...
Tractor pulls were fantastic on Saturday
night. Dyno runs were done all day Saturday
and Sunday. Some of the higher numbers on
those were as follows:
NAME TYPE TRUCK
Rudnick Dodge 356 H. P. /887 Torque
Crawford Dodge (24V) 491 H. P. /1186 Torque
(Larry had the new "Blue Chip" box, timing
module and high flow injectors)
Key Ford PSD 308 H. P. /750 Torque
(with chip)
350 H. P. /854
(chip and propane)
Caudill Dodge 355 H. P. /848 Torque
(Dr. Performance)
Scott Amos Dodge 363 H. P. /1270 Torque
(Custom Scheid Pump)
Pusharich Ford 423 H. P. /1188
(Nitrous&Water Inj. )
Tom Meers Dodge 454 H. P. /1144
Porterfield Dodge 508 H. P. /1311
(Custom Scheid Pump)
On Sunday, we were all treated to a "small
version" of the "horespower wars" between
TST Products and Blue Chip Performance.
Tom Meers allowed the dealers to use his
beautiful black 2000 Dodge CTD Dually 5-
speed to put the boxes on for the dyno runs.
Several boxes were placed on the truck and
I regret to say I did not get those numbers.
(I'm sure someone will post these)
However, the "hot" competition boxes were
put on last and I did get these numbers:
TST- 454 H. P. /1144 Torque
Blue Chip- 432 H. P. /1091 Torque
Congratulations to Mark Chapple and his
family and staff! It was my understanding
that Blue Chip "won" this competition at
the Muncie event. (I was not @ that event. )
I want to say that it was really good to see
everyone again! Tom, your son Will is a fine
young man! Tom, Will and Eric, I am going to
get up there to see you guys soon. Steve St. Laurent, where is that application for the GLTDR?
I am ready to join your fine organization too.
You really have a great group of guys up there.
BTW, Stan and Mo Macie... ... you guys left
without saying goodbye? If I missed
anybody I apologize. My son and I drove
all night to get back so my memory may
be "dazed. "
Finally,... . my sincere thanks to "J. P. ",
Korey, Nick, and Eric at the Terre Haute
shop who worked tirelessly to get my truck
ready after all the additional "pump mods"
and "adjustments"; even with a few minor
glitches. Eric, you are one knowledgable
technician on that mighty P7100! Thanks
again for all the time you took with Johnner
and I in explaining what was being done!
