Over the years I have seen a few posts asking how to reupholster the 2nd gen door armrests. Most fizzled when they found out that the fabric covered arm rest is attached to the main door panel by melt points.
Recently I purchased a Toyota Tacoma for my wife and joined an online forum similar to the TDR called tacomaworld. One of the posts was a DIY for reupholstering the door armrests, which are attached to the door just like the Dodge arm rests. The guy drilled out the melt points then reattached the arm rest with screws. I figured some of you would be interested in this for your Dodge so here is a link to the DIY post:
