Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Reverse Lights

My reverse lights finally went out. Pretty sure I need to replace the reverse module. I have an automatic. Has anyone changed it and how big a job is it? I'm about to do a fluid/filter transmission service and would like to replace the module then if it's doable.
