We will see when the trial is over. Not that I'm against one protecting one self and the community. But as neighborhood watch person he wasn't supposed to be carrying a gun. 911 disapatcher told him to back off and quit following him around. I quess it's nice not to have a live victim. But the 911 tape seems to contradict Zimmerman's story. I think they should have charged him with a manslaughter not 2nd degree murder.

The new prosecutor said the media or public pressure was not considered, only that they enforce the law..... humm... .



They start with a high charge so they can down grade for a plea bargain, then use aggravating or mitigating factors. He might walk away with probation if they can prove even an inkling of self defense.

Nick if he just gets probation im glad I live in MT because the war will start. I weathered the I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER storm a few times in CA when it hit and I feel lucky to have survived.

A guy who couldn't pass muster to become a cop armed himself and pursued or stalked an unarmed teenager. Zimmerman was told to back off by police dispatch, but he ignored these instructions, and as a result Zimmerman shot and killed a youngster.

Imagine the murdered young man as your own child. Now re-examine the basic facts of this case.

One thing is true. Zimmerman was not a cop, and he had zero authority to be stalking anyone. Since he had his own history of runins with cops and even an assault, why was he allowed to patrol a neighborhood while being armed?



I want to see the images of a broken nose and bashed head that his original attorneys claimed. A simple moderate poke in the nose usually means a lot of blood. Same would be true of getting your head smashed on the sidewalk.



So far the case of self defense does not pass the sniff test.



Again, imagine the murdered kid was your own.

If you walked to the store for a sixpack, ir a roll of TP, or Skittles, and someone was stalking you, who had no position of authority, had no uniform, no badge, and was threatening, would you kiss his feet, run, or would you give him the Bug Nasty?



This time imagine you were the one being stalked by someone who wasn't even a rent a cop but a wanna be with a Napoleon complex.

How would you or your own "Eliminate the issue by taking control of and understanding the situation. " Isn't this backwards? Eliminate the issue, by pulling out your own weapon? Punch the stalker in the nose and bash his head against the sidewalk?



I certainly would have a variety of options if it were me being stalked by someone of no authority and I felt threatened. My martial arts training has taught me to be aware leading up to, and during a confrontation. To avoid fueling a tense situation, and if possible defuse the situation. Gather as much useful information as possible, to make a plan, and keep going with that plan until I was safe. That plan might include running away, or maybe standing my ground, and defending myself while avoiding injury and applying unnecessary potentially deadly force.



So many unanswered questions.

You are a shallow reader. The martial arts I practice has at its core, the philosophy of avoiding confrontation, doung what we can to defuse a situation,and avoiding violence. And should we have to resort to violence, then we apply only enough technique to be safe. We can easily go beyond this, but that is not our wish.

First of all I brew my own,wipe with a DRY CORN COBB, and dont eat candy. But I know what your saying. I would stop and ask what he needed and to ask what it was to him. And the level of threatening would determine the amount of caps id put in his a**. I HAVE ALLWAYS BELEVIED THAT DEAD MEN DONT TESTEFIE WELL. So we will never know what actually happened.

If you think that a guy with my attitude has never been harassed by the cops YOU ARE DUMBER THAN YOU TYPE. But the difference is that the people that asked were in cop cars carrying real badges and had real cause to bug me. I would answer their questions and give the cops the respect that was due. If a cop is an A Hole I HAVE NO PROBLEM BEING ONE BACK. But show respect and you get it back. Zimmerman IS NOT A COP DIDNT LOOK LIKE A COP and if he tried to intimidate me THAT WOULDNT GO OVER WELL. The difference in MY view and the Kids view (dont remember his name) Is Im an adult (most of the time) and he is a kid. What time did this happen? I cant find out. But in Ca most of the tragic crap that happened to kids happened at 1 to 4 AM WHAT IN THE HELL IS A KID OF 12 TO 17 DOINIG OUT ON THE STREETS AT THAT TIME ANYWAY. Where were the parents OUT DOING LINES ? We can go thru these little WHAT IF scenarios all day and half the nite but the bottom line is WE WILL NEVER NO WHAT HAPPEND. And unless Zimmerman gets strung up by the balls there will be without doubt a race riot.
