Here is one for ya.
What happens when you take:
One 96 2500 4x4 lwb on 32" mudders, stock injectors, stock plate relocated to the sweet spot, pscotty air, afc cranked with origonal spring, wastegate what wastegate??, stock clutch and free flowing kat.
a quarter mile drag stip at Muncie, IN
and a few short drives????

60' 2. 429
330' 6. 762
1/8 10. 263 70. 15 mph
1000' 13. 281
1/4 15. 813 89. 35 mph #ad

and to back it up, I also ran:
60' 2. 450
330' 6. 821
1/8 10. 326 70. 03 mph
1000' 13. 348
1/4 15. 886 89. 17 mph #ad

oh, and I put a g-tech on it.....
at 6640 lbs, fresh from a IMI truck scale, it said I had a max of 335 hp #ad
, and out of the 5 runs it averaged out to 330 hp. Oh, did i mention that the only non-stock part is the air filter?? #ad
#ad
#ad

Now where is a nice new duramax when I need one, or a 275hp PSD? #ad

So, is life great or what, and don't it feel good?

You know the details are gonna have'ta be told, so go ahead. 2nd gear starts, 4whl dr. , what'd you race in the other lane. Let's hear the details.

Well done.

Yea, that was 4x4 launch, narrow mudders dont stick on pavement. I was in 2nd gear, and launced around 1500 rpms and let the clutch out slow enough that it didnt bog down. It was a test and tune night, so the other lane had anything from Stacked n Jacked, Bullwagon, old le mons, camero, or what ever else pulled up. I was shifing out of 4x4 just before I put it in 4th. I had a good run going till I F*ed up the 4x4/4th combo, and ground 4th. I was a tenth faster at 60', but ended up with a 16. 8, my worst run of the night. I got a 16. 052 @88. 65 in 2x4. BTW, I've herd that a few of the pumps in 96 were built better than the rest. I must have one #ad
. I only got 42lbs boost and 1500*F on my runs.

We are going to have a BOMBing circus. We can put Wayne's truck up as the insane stocker. Noone can believe this truck is doing what it's doing with just a K&N filter and slid plate!

So, a stock 215 actually makes 335.
Right.
Something is fishy here, sounds like a Doc Tinker story.
It does make Steve St Lorante look silly with all his boxes and and ladder bars and trick parts!
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

12 valves rule!

Gene, I would have made the german french candian american (stevie) look really bad if I had known that I was 0. 028s behind him. I would have launched hard and blown him away.

What am i sandbagging??? Eic, you know I have a STOCK 215 hp plate in my truck. And you should know I have stock injectors. H*ll, you helped me turn it up on wedensday. If you did something else while I had my back turned, TELL ME.

Mine was set up comperable to what yours is now, course I didn't have an afc spring, I cut the washer behind the diaphram(supposed to be worth 20 to 30 more ponies) and had the high idle in all the way but should be out a half a turn, then I also didn't have one click in on my stock gov springs either. But I was able to run a 15. 28 at 89mph in 2wd with the stock clutch barley hanging in. I also know I could have broke into the 14's if I would have done this in 4wd launching at around 2500 r's. When I did this kind of launch technique I was getting a 1. 9 60' time compaired to your 2. 3. With enough practice at the time I was going almost every week I was getting mid 2. 15 60' times in 2wd.
I was also getting 45psi and 1500 degree temps at that time.

Good Show Jeff! I was AT Purdue for the GP Saturday. Bet I've seen Your truck around Campus. I'm Sure my Son has! One word of Caution - You build up a LOT of resistance with the frt wheels and rear wheels BOTH driving on solid surfaces fighting each other, REALLY saps HP. The Torque REALLY gets hard on stuff TOO. Twists drive shafts, U-joints, etc. You MAY want to experiment pulling into 2 WD partway thru 3rd gear, Maybe make things less busy when making the pass too. Too bad You can't put a one-way clutch in the frt driveline so it only pulls when it needs to. Overrun's when It doesn't. Keep Us posted on Your Progress. I bet there's More potential in Your Truck! #ad

DENNY... ... ... ...

Hi Dr, I didnt know you were over here too. Were you there for the heat races? Did you see the car that blew up on the last heat race. That was the team I'm on. A weight let go in the clitch and blew a hole in it the size of a half doller.

When I was running, I shifted out of 4x4 in 3rd gear. BTW, I launched in 2nd.

Sounds like my setup. With no scotty though.
