Kyle...

He is not worth the aggravation he has caused you. I am in agreement with you though, both sides, good or bad, need to be heard.

Its a shame some members here can not allow the 2 sides to be heard without taking aim with their personal attack guns. Maybe we will get back to allowing both sides to be heard and we can weed out those who only wish to pocket the money they make with no customer service what so ever.

Your truck is one of the nicest conversions I have seen and you should take great pride in it. That Lil Red truck will be something to see after its done after seeing the Crewcab and the Runner at Carlisle. Keep up the good work... ..... Andy

new subject.....

Hmmm, well since I was the one that started this post, let me be the one to change the direction!:)

I'm thinking I've just got to drop the muffler from my 4" system from Rip, I've got to try the louder exhaust... . Some say it'll drone, someone I spoke w/ yesterday has on 01 quad auto, same as mine and drove from Florida to Washington with a 4" no muffler system and didn't find droning a problem... Does undercoating change whether it drones or not? Does stainless or aluminum affect it?

Well, I can't say how much louder it will be since my went on originally without a muffler... . but it definitely sounds  .

Doing normal highway driving I don't have any bit of a drone. You can hear the deep sound from the tailpipe just enough to let you know it's still there, but it doesn't keep you from having normal volume conversations.

I have some drone between 2100-2300 when I'm running in 5th. But once I get above that range or drop into 6th it quiets right down. And it doesn't drone when I hit that range in 6th cruising down the highway.

no muffler

Ok, here's the info for those like myself that didn't know. . >!

Louder, ooohhh yeaaaaaa... .....

Drone is in my 02 quad auto w/4:10 185/75/r16 at 61-64 mph.

RPM is 2100-2300, just like AggieJustin said. We have the same tire size, diff trans. Since the speed limit in most of WA is 60 (except so of Olympia, 70) it's fairly easy to drive around the drone at 60 or 65, just not in between!

Hope this info helps anyone with the no muffler / drone issue!

Gee nice shot , have you been working on that since you signed up ? It takes a REAL insensitive JERK, to even make that comment, especially with all that going on right now. As a Vet, I take a BIG OFFENSE in you using someone who gave his life for his country for such BS.

I check on your last posts, WHAT IS YOUR AGENDA ?

It looks like all you want to do is start trouble. :-{}

Guys run rfurley name in the search, and you will see what I mean.

RPM's

Correction to the previous post about the drone and RPM.

It is between 1900 and 2100 rpm. (MPH was correct)

Also, had a spray in liner installed and the drone was diminished by maybe 40%! FYI... .
