Anybody out there in RMTDR land know of a place we could hold a wrench day in the near future. Could have one at my place as long as no more than 1 or 2 people show up since thats about how much space I have. If anyone has any ideas lets hear em.

Also how much interest is there in a wrench day?

Thanks

Second the Motion

I would be up for a get together. I missed the Dyno Day up in Fort Collins and I won't be able to make the one in September (hunting) so anything in August would be cool.

Hey Barry,

I'm in for another get together. We'll see where this goes. I really don't have anything to do right now, but getting together is good. Let me know if you need something.

Me too

I'd be very interested. :D

I have gauges in the box still and also have new D25 and Bilstein's in their boxes as well. I'd like to have a box of injectors and a new Edge, but the budget for "boxes" is gone.

My place isn't adequate either for more than one or two.

But I'd love to be there if we can find a place.

How many trucks need to be worked on, so far I count 2 trucks. All in all 8 guys have showed some interest, this would make quick work getting the trucks done even counting in the beer factor.

I can supply some of the tools and an air compressor (really make a mess fast).

I would be interested in attending. I am thinking about gauges for my truck but would like to observe the procedure before attempting it in my own. -frank.

I don't really have anything cool to do to my truck right now, but I thought about cleaning the MAP/IAT sensors. It wouldn't hurt to have someone there who has done it before. Mostly just want to get together and shoot the bull. :) I wish I was in a living situation that would allow me to host.

Possible option (long)??

Hi all...

OK... I REALLY want to have a wrench day and I have at least a couple things to do to my truck (3 gauges and D25s / Bilsteins) so I wonder if the following idea would work. I cleared it with the wife already.

Here is my setup... if you all are open to it, I'd be happy to host.

I live in Colorado Springs (north side) and I have a standard two car garage, normal driveway, some street parking, and a gravel RV driveway on the side of the house good enough for two trucks end-to-end with space to spare. I figure one in the garage, two in the driveway and two in the RV driveway for a total of 5 trucks that could have the hoods up at any given time. The rest of the trucks would have to park in the street. It isn't a main street though so it is pretty quiet.

I have a large air compressor and a couple air tools and a few other tools, but would welcome anyone else bringing their specialized tools.

I could host it on August 23 (Saturday) anytime. Maybe from 9am until whenever.

What do you all think?

I'd love to get together to learn new stuff about these trucks and others. But for what I and others need done, in order for this wrench day to REALLY be a wrench day, we need some guys who have experience installing gauges and maybe a shock and spring expert as well. Anyone have a spring compressor? If not, I hear some autoparts places loan them out for a deposit so no big deal.

If this setup is too crammed, I FULLY understand. I just see a lot of guys wanting to get together and no place to do it. I'm sure the neighbors would get over it, but it would be a SIGHT TO SEE with all the Cummins over at my place! :D:D:D

Oh, I forgot to mention, I can also provide a cooler full of various drinks and some snacks. I'm sure my wife will set us up with some real good sweets.

Feel free to object to this setup. No feelings will be hurt. But if only 3 guys show up and nobody has installed gauges before, it would not be very successful IMO since at least two of us would like to have that done / or watch it done so those with experience, please speak up.

Let us all know!

Steve

I'm there

CORed,

You da man. I can bring my tools and another compressor (110v w/50ft hose).

Bombing Resume:

Installed A pillar mount and guage set (see sig)

Installed RV 275 Injectors

Installed Comp (a child of 2 could install a Comp so not saying much)

Installed 4" exhaust system (however used freinds muffler shop)

Installed Airlift Airbags

Installed new Shocks and various frontend parts

Worked on several other trucks, installed a bunch of msc things: Lift Kits, Leveling kits, shocks ...

Like anything "Gear Head"

I don't have anything to do to my truck at the moment but would like to meet more of the RMTDR members. I've only meet 4 or 5 of them.

CORed:

I am pretty sure I can make that. I don't have much to do to the truck but willing to help whoever. Have installed my gauges (electrical) and all my other mods although except for the ez none are engine mods and except the 275's the install deal was just too good to pass up. So count me in.

Probably ought to give out some directions too.

AWESOME!!!!

Oo. Oo. :D :D

Sounds Great greyghost!!!

For everyone wishing to attend, I don't feel comfortable putting my home address here so if you wish to attend, PM me and I'll reply with my address and directions if needed. If you know about sites like mapquest.com or yahoo.com, you can print your own map which will beat any directions I could give you so let me know how much info you want.

Just to confirm then... Saturday, August 23, show up anytime after 9am with your truck and any tools / accessories and we'll see what we can do. I've never hosted one of these before so Barry, if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. ;)

Got your PM, thanks. Your place should be easy to find. Hope the neighbors done mind.

Your putting a leveling kit in your truck? Will you need few extra jackstands and a 2 ton jack. I've got some I could bring as well.
