Possible option (long)??
Hi all...
OK... I REALLY want to have a wrench day and I have at least a couple things to do to my truck (3 gauges and D25s / Bilsteins) so I wonder if the following idea would work. I cleared it with the wife already.
Here is my setup... if you all are open to it, I'd be happy to host.
I live in Colorado Springs (north side) and I have a standard two car garage, normal driveway, some street parking, and a gravel RV driveway on the side of the house good enough for two trucks end-to-end with space to spare. I figure one in the garage, two in the driveway and two in the RV driveway for a total of 5 trucks that could have the hoods up at any given time. The rest of the trucks would have to park in the street. It isn't a main street though so it is pretty quiet.
I have a large air compressor and a couple air tools and a few other tools, but would welcome anyone else bringing their specialized tools.
I could host it on August 23 (Saturday) anytime. Maybe from 9am until whenever.
What do you all think?
I'd love to get together to learn new stuff about these trucks and others. But for what I and others need done, in order for this wrench day to REALLY be a wrench day, we need some guys who have experience installing gauges and maybe a shock and spring expert as well. Anyone have a spring compressor? If not, I hear some autoparts places loan them out for a deposit so no big deal.
If this setup is too crammed, I FULLY understand. I just see a lot of guys wanting to get together and no place to do it. I'm sure the neighbors would get over it, but it would be a SIGHT TO SEE with all the Cummins over at my place!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I can also provide a cooler full of various drinks and some snacks. I'm sure my wife will set us up with some real good sweets.
Feel free to object to this setup. No feelings will be hurt. But if only 3 guys show up and nobody has installed gauges before, it would not be very successful IMO since at least two of us would like to have that done / or watch it done so those with experience, please speak up.
Let us all know!
Steve
