My trip to CO put just under 2k miles on the truck with around 1k pounds of cargo without a single problem. It's 740 miles each way running 80 m.p.h, mileage varied of course but never dropped below 24 m.p.g. I had no issues with mountain passes at all, I went over Raton, LaVeta and Slumgullion. I can say the engine did reach coolant temps as high as 225 climbing the passes but it quickly cooled off once I started down. Running down the highway the coolant stayed around 206. The air suspension really shines when the truck is loaded and provides a great ride better than I expected. I raised and lowered the truck two times a day to help in loading and unloading the atv for the first six days and it performed perfectly, the aero mode was allowed once up to speed unless I had it in tow/ haul mode. I currently have just under 12k miles on the truck and have yet to see a CEL or the message about the DPF being full and needing an active regeneration. I know several passive regens have occurred due to the additional heat and smell coming from the truck. I have seen the service electronic throttle message about three times but it goes away, my 2012 Cummins gave me that same message on occasion as well.
Before I left I had the oil changed by the dealer being they offered a freebie. I had to educate them on how much the engine required they only put 8 quarts in it and they did use Pennzoil Ultra Euro L 5w30. The service manager looked at the dipstick and did a little research and discovered they had the wrong information about the quantity so watch the dealer if you let them change the oil. Another thing I noticed is that the seal on the fuel door does not keep out dust. I have the green magnetized cap on my truck and after several days of driving dusty forest service roads the cap was covered in dust. Just an F.Y.I for those that don't have any cap or plug in place.
